Jorge L. Espinoza (George) was raised in an impoverished section of Ecuador in the 1970s. His father supported a family of nine on a modest train maintenance paycheck and instilled strong values in his children. All of George’s siblings have gone on to successful careers, including firefighter, news reporter, organic farmer, and fashion designer.

At 12, George began working as a helper in an autobody shop, sanding and prepping cars for paint. This early exposure sparked his passion for automotive artistry. In 1993, he moved to the U.S. to pursue his dream, starting in a newspaper warehouse mixing colors for printing. Within four years, he was running machines and printing 25,000 feet of newspaper.

By 1998, George worked part-time in autobody shops, learning mechanical repairs and color matching. In 2000, he attended vocational school in Rhode Island for autobody painting, later gaining experience in various collision shops. In 2004, he joined Pro Collision as a paint and autobody technician. Seeking further expertise, he studied professional automotive appraisal at Northeastern in 2005, mastering Massachusetts’ insurance and autobody regulations.

Fulfilling his lifelong dream, George founded George’s Auto Refinishing in Everett in 2009. His passion and dedication have led him to restore and customize vehicles, including his 1975 Corvette Stingray and a 2009 custom chopper. His skill in motorcycle reconditioning allows him to create unique chopper designs.

Beyond autobody work, George is a talented artist and designer, having built his own house, backyard, and landscaping projects in Saugus and Ecuador. His latest accomplishment is earning a private pilot’s license, demonstrating his relentless drive to master new skills. Through hard work and dedication, George has turned his passion into a thriving business and an inspiring success story.
